On 29th September 2017, the GreenCoffee consortium introduced its mobile services in the central highlands of Vietnam. These services aim to provide 100.000 Robusta farmers with:
- Weather information
- Good agricultural practices (GAP)
- Pests and disease information
- Soil information
- and daily market prices of coffee
This information will be available via the SMS, a smart phone App and the GREENcoffee website.
The GreenCoffee services are available via the Google playstore and web for IOS.
The weather, price and GAP information service will now be piloted among the lead farmers of UTZ, soon to be up-scaled to the rest of the highlands of Vietnam. Waterwatch projects is leading the work package of service development in the ICCO consortium.
